Still bay Flying Club - Established 1980
Still Bay Aerodrome (FACY) Based in Still Bay
The Still Bay flying club (SBFC) was started in 1980. The main purpose then, was to provide information to the flying fraternity making use of the facilities.
These facilities are currently maintained by the 10 resident hangar owners and the Hessequa Municipality. The SBFC provides regular input to keep the facilities compliant, providing for example, windsocks, and arranging runway maintenance as needed.
The growing demand for hangar space and flights into Still Bay is growing year by year. Enthusiastic aviators from all over SA join to explore the Garden Route and coastline from the air where whales and dolphins are regularly spotted.
